Daisy Girl Scout Troop 5169 Daisy Girl Scouts

For the month of March, the Daisy Girl Scouts kicked off "acts of kindness" by making appreciation bags for the Letcher County Sheriff's office. They identified authority figures in the community, school and at home. Eugene Slone made ID badges (aka: driver's license) and fingerprints for all the girls. Lastly, they used a chart to determine which type of fingerprint they have. Way to go girls!Daisy Girl Scout Troop 5169💙

The Daisy Girl Scouts were chosen in February to be highlighted by the local Wilderness Road Council of Southeastern Kentucky. Girl Scouts Logo

Troop 5169 Celebrated World Thinking Day 2017 by "visiting" France!

Troop Leader Melissa said, " An hour and a half was definitely not enough time to travel around France. Hopefully, the girls got a taste of it at least. They were so eager to try new flavors.  Their Monet paintings were absolutely beautiful. Thanks to our art teacher at MJP for her time and talent.  It was the perfect day to try the French version of hopscotch called Escargot. The girls created a lap book to take home for reference of all the information they learned."Girl Scout Troop 5169 with their Monet paintings
