Email Upgrade Progress

Update 8:00 AM, Monday, March 5th.

The upgrade is still progressing as expected.  Most everything has been completed.  We will start reconfiguring staff Outlook clients on Monday.  Until we someone from technology physically reconfigures your computer, Microsoft Outlook will not work correctly.  Continue to use Webmail.

Listed below are the items that are currently working:
1.  Chrombook logins are working.
2.  Google Drive login is working.
3.  Webmail is up and running.  (Make sure when you login that your are in the new account.  It may take a little while longer for all of the email from last night to be delivered.)
4.  You can now remove your Exchange account from your personal device and then add it back.  Be sure to add it back as an Exchange account.

Listed below are the items that may not be fully updated:
1. OneDrive content has not yet been migrated to the new account.

Letcher County Public Schools Healthy Schools Program

Please see the attached Healthier Generation Data for Letcher County Public Schools. This information is used to inform the public of the schools’ progress toward reaching their goals of the Healthy Hunger Free Act of 2010.  The District and each school has a Wellness Committee that implements and works to update the District Wellness Policy.  This annual evaluation helps to guide these committees. Immunization Announcement

All students enrolled in Kindergarten and 6th grade must have an up-to date immunization record/physicals on file or turned in by August 23.  Sixth graders that have not turned 11 yet have 2 weeks after their birthday to do so.

State law requires that students without immunizations cannot attend school until they are up-to-date.  With our on-site school based clinics and our Health Services Department, we would be happy to help you with transportation or other needs.  Please contact us at 633-4455.


Operation UNITE will be sponsoring CAMP UNITE on the Campus of The University of the Cumberlands.  The dates for this camp are July 25th - July 28th.  Students entering grades 7, 8, or 9 next school year are eligible to attend.  Also, high school juniors and seniors may apply to be counselors for the camp.  The deadline for applications is June 30th.  For more infomation, click Read More or visit the Operation Unite website at http://operationunite.org/youth-initiatives/camp-unite/.  

Shoot Hoops Not Drugs Camp

Operation Unite will offer a one day basketball skills camp called :Shoot Hoops, Not Drugs on Tuesday, June 13th from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Letcher County Central High School.  Former UK baketball player Jarrod Polson will be there.  This camp is open to all school age children in the area.  For more information, click Read More.
