Registration for Kindergarten, Preschool, & Headstart for any child will be on the following dates:
April 20 at Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Chruch
April 21 at Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church
April 22 at Neon Church of God
April 23 at Neon Church of God
April 27 at Letcher County Extension Office
April 28 at Letcher County Extension Office
April 29 at Letcher County Extension Office
April 30 at Letcher County Extension Office
May 1 at Letcher County Extension Office

You must complete the online pre-registration form below.

Once pre-registered, the Central Office will call you and set-up the appointment date/time.
Appointments will be set-up 30 minutes apart, please be on time for your appointment.
We will be conducting Hearing, Vision, Speech, and Developmental screenings, so please bring your child.
INTERESTED IN EARLY KINDERGARTEN ADMITTANCE?
If your child does not turn 5 by August 1, 2026 and you would like them to enter Kindergarten early, they will be required to take assessments, and must pass all assessment areas. You will need to notify the school principal by April 15, 2026 in order to apply for early admittance.
Parents please bring the following documents for your appointment:
Your child’s certified birth certificate
Custody Papers or any Medical Documents the school may need to know about
Social security card—Kindergarten Students Only
Health Insurance Card
Immunization certificate (Must be Current)
Two proofs of residency (Acceptable forms of residency; utility bill, insurance statement, cable, etc. within the last 3 months)
Proof of Income (acceptable forms of income; Check Stub, Front page of an Income tax return, Benefit Award letter, etc.)
Eye exam
Physical exam
Dental Exam
