Your 9th grade orientation will be held on Thursday, August 1st from 8am-2:30pm.
Please plan to dress comfortably!!
You will be playing games and going on a school tour. In addition, you will receive schedules and lockers.
If interested, your family is invited to attend with you from 1-2:30.
All morning and afternoon bus routes will run, and a catered lunch will be provided.
Students: you should expect a phone call from your Link Leader coming soon.

The Letcher County Central High School JROTC will be hosting the Louisville drone racing team on the top of the high school hill where the track is located from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Friday, July 19th. There will be demonstrations and hands on training. Everyone is welcome to come by and participate.
PRI is hosting pottery classes tomorrow, Thursday, June 18th in the art room at Letcher Couty Central High School from 10:00 -12:00 and from 1:00-3:00. This is open to students and families. Lunch will be provided for the 10:00-12:00 class. In addition, there will be a Mindfulness Walk at Lilly Cornett Woods from 9:00-12:00. Lunch will be provided.
PRI is hosting pickleball and volleyball games tomorrow morning , June 14h at the LCCHS Tennis Courts from 9 am-12 pm. Food will be provided to everyone in attendance. In addition, there will be a spooky hike on the Pine Mountain Overlook Loop tomorrow evening beginning at 7:00 pm. There will be spooky tales (not so spooky tales for smaller children), lantern-making, and free books for all kids!

LKLP Head Start is a nationally recognized, curriculum-based preschool program designed to promote school readiness. We are excited to inform you that Letcher County Public Schools will be offering an enrichment camp this summer at Cowan Elementary for students who are currently enrolled in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will run from June 10-June 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, with both breakfast and lunch provided. Any student - boys or girls- in grades 6, 7, and 8 who wish to play middle school soccer are asked to meet at the Whitesburg Middle School Football field to sign up and receive information. This is for any middle school student in the county. The meeting will take place on Monday, February 19th at 5:30pm.
