Good Evening, Tomorrow will be the first day of school for all students in Letcher County Public Schools with the exception of West Whitesburg Elementary and Whitesburg Middle School. We have all been anxiously awaiting the opening of West Whitesburg Elementary School, and it is looking great. However, we want to put the finishing touches on the space and have decided to push the start date for WWE and WMS until Wednesday, August 16. We appreciate your patience with us as we make final preparations to welcome back our Yellow Jackets.
