 Teachers Needed for Superintendent Screening Committee

The Letcher County Board of Education is currently conducting a search for a new superintendent. The regulation requires that the Board have a screening committee. Two of the members of that committee must be teachers. The LCTO will be conducting an election to elect two teachers to serve on the superintendent screening committee. The LCTO will be accepting nominations for two teachers to serve on the screening committee. Nominations need to be emailed to Regina Brown, (President, LCTO; regina.brown@letcher.kyschools.us) starting April 7th through April 14th. Voting for the two teachers will be on April 20th and 21st from noon until 4:30 at the Bus Garage. The head principals and superintendent cannot be nominated for this election.

 Classified Employee Needed for Superintendent Screening Committee

The Letcher County Board of Education is currently conducting a search for a new superintendent. The regulation requires that the Board have a screening Committee. One of the members of that committee must be a classified employee. The Central Office will be accepting nominations for a classified representative to serve on the screening committee. Classified nominations need to be made by contacting Bridget Begley, (606-633-4455 or bridget.begley@letcher.kyschools.us) at the Central Office starting on April 7th through April 14th. Voting for the classified representative will take place on April 20th and 21st from noon till 4:30 at the Bus Garage. All full-time classified employees are eligible to vote.
