Letcher County Public Schools

Wednesday, January 24, 2024, will be an N T I day for the Letcher County Schools. Students should follow the procedures established by their teachers to complete their assignments from home.

There will be a parent meeting about the upcoming Middle School Baseball season this Friday at 5:30 at West Whitesburg Elementary. This meeting is for Arlie Boggs, Cowan, and Whitesburg 5th through 8th grade students and parents only. Please try to be present if your child plans to play.

Letcher County Public Schools will be closed Tuesday, January 16, 2024 due to poor weather conditions. It is a snow day, no NTI.

Letcher County Public Schools will be released today at 1:00 due to power outages at Letcher Middle and high winds.

The Letcher County Schools will be CLOSED for Wednesday, January 10th. This will be an N T I day. Students should follow the procedures their teachers have setup for them to complete their lessons for the day.

We have been communicating with the Neon Water Company and as of now, we will have school at Martha Jane Potter and Fleming Neon Middle on Friday, January 5th. All Letcher County Schools will be on the Regular Schedule for Friday, January 5, 2024.

Letcher County Central High School buses will run their regular routes tomorrow. If you live in the Martha Jane Potter and Fleming Neon areas, the buses may be a few minutes early due to not having as many stops along their routes. Please try to be ready and watching for the bus a few minutes early. Thank you.
