Once again, we ask that families with students that live in Blair Branch, Racetrack Hollow, and Goose Creek meet the bus at the same locations they did today, both morning and evening. We hope by Monday to be completely back to normal. We thank you for your patience and appreciate your part in keeping our students safe.

Letcher County Schools will operate on a one-hour delay on Wednesday, January 29, 2025. However, there are a couple roads that are still icy and not safe for our buses. We ask that if you live in the areas listed below, that you meet the bus at a central location. We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that we can operate normally soon. We want to get our kids back to school and do that as safely as possible. We appreciate our county road department for working with us, our transportation department for their hard work, and our families for understanding. If you live in Racetrack hollow, you will meet the bus at the actual race track. Students in Blair Branch will meet the bus at the Blair Branch church.
We are working diligently to get our students back to school. We had hoped the warmer temperatures the last few days would be enough, unfortunately, many side roads and bus turns are still icy. We are working with the county to clear as many areas as possible and will continue to do so. We appreciate your patience as we work to get back to school.
