The Winter Ball scheduled for this evening at Martha Jane Potter has been canceled. It will be rescheduled for a later date.
Martha Jane Potter will host a Winter Ball tomorrow, Friday, January 12.
Kindergarten through 2nd grade will have their dance from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
3rd through 5th grade will have their dance from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
Admission is $5.00 per person.
Dress is semi-formal.
A photographer will be at the dance providing professional pictures for an additional cost.
This dance is for current MJP students. Older siblings that attend other schools are not permitted to stay unless they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We have been communicating with the Neon Water Company and as of now, we will have school at Martha Jane Potter and Fleming Neon Middle on Friday, January 5th. All Letcher County Schools will be on the Regular Schedule for Friday, January 5, 2024.

Due to the weather forecast for later today, the Letcher County Schools will be dismissing at noon, today, December 18, 2023.
Tomorrow, Monday December 18 will be our Christmas Programs at MJP. Kindergarten/1st grade will be at 8:30 am. 2nd/3rd grade will be at 9:15 am. 4th/5th grade will be at 10:00 am.
Parents and family members should enter and exit using the gym lobby entrance. All guests must sign in.
Just a reminder that there is a dance tonight at the school. K-2 will be from 5-6:30 and grades 3-5 will be from 6:30-8. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.
Santa will also be available from 5:00-8:00 for anyone that would like to take pictures with him for $5 (the pictures with Santa are open to the public).
MJP will host a Winter Dance this Friday (December 15). Kindergarten-2nd grade will be from 5:00-6:30. 3rd grade-5th grade will be from 6:30-8:00.
The cost of admission will be $3 for students and $5 for adults. There will be a concession stand for snacks and drinks.

There will be a parent meeting for parents of 4th or 5th grade students interested in participating in MJP Archery. The meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, December 11 at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. Coach Jamie Sexton looks forward to meeting with our archers and parents to kick off the season.
This is just a reminder that buses will be leaving MJP at 8:00 am tomorrow for our field trip to watch the play in Hazard. Students should have breakfast and be in their classrooms by 7:55. Students who arrive at or after 8:00 will not be able to attend the trip. We are excited for a fun morning with our Cardinals!
