WMS 6th grade orientation is Thursday August, 1st at 10:00 AM in the WMS Gymnasium.
The Letcher County Central High School JROTC will be hosting the Louisville drone racing team on the top of the high school hill where the track is located from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Friday, July 19th. There will be demonstrations and hands on training. Everyone is welcome to come by and participate.
PRI is hosting pottery classes tomorrow, Thursday, June 18th in the art room at Letcher Couty Central High School from 10:00 -12:00 and from 1:00-3:00. This is open to students and families. Lunch will be provided for the 10:00-12:00 class. In addition, there will be a Mindfulness Walk at Lilly Cornett Woods from 9:00-12:00. Lunch will be provided.
PRI is hosting pickleball and volleyball games tomorrow morning , June 14h at the LCCHS Tennis Courts from 9 am-12 pm. Food will be provided to everyone in attendance. In addition, there will be a spooky hike on the Pine Mountain Overlook Loop tomorrow evening beginning at 7:00 pm. There will be spooky tales (not so spooky tales for smaller children), lantern-making, and free books for all kids!
West Whitesburg Elementary will be having awards day tomorrow, May 29th in the Whitesburg Middle School gymnasium. Kindergarten- 2nd grade awards will begin at 9:00 AM and 3rd - 5th grade awards will begin at 12:30 PM.

We are excited to inform you that Letcher County Public Schools will be offering an enrichment camp this summer at Cowan Elementary for students who are currently enrolled in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will run from June 10-June 28, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily, with both breakfast and lunch provided.
